Packers vs Vikings

That’s right, Minnesota (unfortunately) gets another crack at primetime against another divisional opponent in the Green Bay Packers. This is a perfect opportunity to get redemption from that filthy tie and prove that the Vikings can actually perform during primetime.

Here’s this week’s three things to watch:

How will Cook and Murray be beneficial this week?
Last week was a lackluster performance for the Vikings run game, which if I may add, was drier than the Sahara Desert (sorry that was lame). The run game only averaged a little less than two yards per carry between Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook.

Packers vs Vikings Live Stream: How to watch Online NFL Sunday Night Football 2018 HD FrEE Tv Coverage.

The 22 yards off 14 carries was the least amount of rushing yards forced since that toxic game against Buffalo earlier in the season. Those damn Bills held Minnesota to only 14 rushing yards (I cringed as I wrote that sentence). Despite those two games, Minnesota has still averaged 84.7 yards per game on the ground.

Minnesota rushed for 68 yards off 18 carries earlier in the season against Green Bay. Cousins did throw the ball 48 times (completed 35) for 425 yards that game though. Cook’s hands came into play a few times through the passing game. He caught three passes off five targets for 52 yards.

The Packers’ defense has allowed 147.2 yards in its last five games. I’d like to see more than 14 carries Sunday night, but that’s just me. I feel like Murray and Cook will see a decent size workload, whether that be in the pass or rush game. What if DeFilippo used Cook as a receiver-back and Murray as a the lead workhorse when carrying the ball? I’m by no means trying to be a couch coach, but that’s just my thought behind our two talented backs.

Can the Vikings make adjustments if needed?
If you’ve been watching the games, you can tell that adjustments just aren’t being made when needed. Just for the sake of not going on forever, I’ll talk about the offense. Our O-line is banged up, I think everyone gets that. As fans, we can’t continue to use that as an excuse.

Does the offense not have any plays regarding short passes? Short slants? Curl routes? Plays where you hike the ball and throw it off in under two seconds? A bang-bang play. A lot of the play calling is making me think back to them shaky Norv Turner days.

I don’t know about y’all, but based off some playmaking-decisions to throw a swing/screen pass on 3rd and 10, only to have that receiver already have three guys on him before he even catches the ball or immediately after. Like I said before, I’m down for screen passes, but is 3rd and 10 really the most appropriate time to run that play?

Can the Vikings D continue its success on third downs while the offense improves on that?
Minnesota’s defense on third down couldn’t be any better right now (well, I guess they could be). The offense though, not so much. This season the Vikings’ opponents have only had a 28 percent success rate on third down, a league best. Minnesota’s offense ranks 17th for only converting on third down 38.93 percent of the time, according to TeamRankings. However, in Minnesota’s last three games, the offense converted 43 percent of the time on third downs. That’s more similar to the 44 percent conversion rate Minnesota saw in 2017. You’d think you might have a little better luck at home when it came to 3rd down conversions, but that’s not the case for Minnesota where 3rd downs were only converted 38 percent of the time.

Bills vs Jaguars

Bills vs Jaguars : How to watch Buffalo vs. Jacksonville: TV channel, NFL live stream info, start time How to watch Bills vs. Jaguars football game Buffalo Bills (home) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (away) Current records: Buffalo 3-7-1; Jacksonville 3-7-1

Buffalo have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Sunday against Jacksonville at 1:00 p.m. Buffalo aren’t expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn’t stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.

After a disappointing nine points in their last contest, Buffalo made sure to put some points up on the board against the Jets two weeks ago. Buffalo were the clear victor by a 41-10 margin over the Jets. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-3.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap last Sunday, as they fell 16-20 to Pittsburgh.

Buffalo’s win lifted them to 3-7-1 while Jacksonville’s loss dropped them down to 3-7-1. In their victory, Buffalo relied heavily on LeSean McCoy, who rushed for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns on 26 carries. Jacksonville will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.

It was a hard-fought game, but Green Bay had to settle for a 24-27 loss against Seattle last week. Aaron Jones and Aaron Rodgers were two go-getters for Green Bay despite the loss. The former picked up 40 yards on the ground on 11 carries and caught 5 passes for 63 yards, while the latter passed for 332 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rodgers has been a consistent playmaker for Green Bay as this was the third good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Minnesota were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap, as they fell 20-25 to Chicago.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach

Panthers vs Seahawks

Panthers vs Seahawks – The Seahawks travel to Carolina this weekend for a game that has big playoff implications for these two NFC foes who know each other well, having played eight times, postseason included, since 2010. To learn more about Seattle’s Week 12 opponent, we reached out to Bryan Strickland, senior writer for Panthers.com, with five questions about the 6-4 Panthers:

Watch Seahawks vs Panthers Live

Offensive key: The Clarks. That should be the Panthers’ biggest concern offensively Sunday. Left tackle Chris Clark has done a fine job since coming to Carolina in Week 2, but this week he’ll line up across from a matchup nightmare. Seattle defensive end Frank Clark has terrorized offenses with 10.0 sacks and three forced fumbles. The Panthers will likely need to give their Clark some help via double teams or chips if they’re going to consistently contain the other Clark, who’s racked up seven of his sacks since Week 6.

Defensive key: The Panthers have been inconsistent tacklers this season, and in last week’s first half at Detroit, they were just plain bad. Now they have to shore that up in time to face the league’s No. 1 rushing team. The Seahawks aren’t only averaging the most yards on the ground per game; they’re also running more than anyone else with a three-headed attack of Chris Carson, Mike Davis and first-round pick Rashaad Penny. By the way, in their six wins, the Panthers have allowed 75.2 rushing yards per game. In their four losses, they’ve allowed an average of 133.5.

Free SIngup To Watch LiveStream

Gutsy guess: We thought DJ Moore’s breakout game was when he totaled 129 yards on seven touches against the Ravens. Then, with a 157-yard day in Detroit, he had the biggest game for a Panthers’ wideout since Steve Smith put up 181 at Chicago in 2011. Well, Moore still doesn’t have a multi-touchdown game. In fact, he only has two scores this season. He’ll double that total with one in the air and one on the ground versus Seattle.

Offensive key: Quarterback Cam Newton always harps on the importance of staying on rhythm, and Carolina has been struggling to do that. A scoring drive to open the game can’t be followed up by a bunch of three-and-outs. And those lulls are keeping this team from playing complementary football. Especially in this matchup, the Panthers need to control the clock some and show more consistency on the offensive side.

Defensive key: Last time out against the Lions, quarterback Matthew Stafford avoided the rush to create some plays. We know that’s what Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is known for. Carolina’s defensive line has to be disciplined with their rush angles and the defensive backs have to have their heads on a swivel when plays are extended. It’s not easy, but that’s always part of the challenge against the dual-threat Wilson.

Gutsy guess: Newton has just four rushes for 12 yards over the last two games. With the outcome of Sunday’s game so important, and with it being played on Newton’s turf, I expect him to take matters into his own hands more frequently – to the tune of two rushing touchdowns.

Offensive key: A couple of weeks back I wrote about how the Panthers had started getting off to good starts offensively but that they were still struggling to get started in the second half. That clearly hurt them last week when, down 10-7 at the half, a potential momentum-altering drive in the third quarter ended with a missed field goal and began turning the game the wrong way. Games are won in the second half, and the Panthers can’t continue this way – scoring a league-low 13 points in the third quarter – if they want to wrestle control away from the opposition.

Defensive key: Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin looks like he’s ready to break out; the Panthers have to make sure that doesn’t happen for at least another week. Baldwin was slowed by a knee injury for much of the first half of the season, but the No. 1 receiver with slot skills to boot appeared to be finally rounding into shape in Seattle’s last game. A groin injury slowed him in practice this past week, and the Panthers secondary needs to slow the potential game-changer come Sunday.

Gutsy guess: Defensive tackle Kawann Short sacked elusive Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott twice in the season opener, but Short hasn’t sacked anyone since. Wilson on paper isn’t the best quarterback to snap a sack drought against, but Short did sack Wilson twice in Carolina’s monstrous victory in Seattle in 2015. In a game that looms large as far as the 2018 season is concerned, Short will again get to Wilson a couple of times.

Chargers vs Cardinals

Chargers vs Cardinals Live: The Los Angeles Chargers meet the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 25 in 2018 NFL preseason Week 12. Here’s all the info you need to watch the game.

Cardinals vs Chargers Live

The Arizona Cardinals and the LA Chargers are two teams that find themselves in very strange positions. On one hand, Arizona is in a period of changeover with the in-tune departure of Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer this off-season. In the meantime, Los Angeles has the makings of a team that could go on a run at a championship this season. As such, it’s a fun fight of condition in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL preseason.

Anthony Lynn and the rest of the Chargers coaches know what their stars can do, too, and they’re just as uninterested in seeing them on the field Saturday.

The reason to watch preseason games — outside of nervously pacing until your favorite players have safely exited the field — is to look at the edges of the roster for players who could contribute in the future.

Last year, running back Austin Ekeler broke out in games three and four of the preseason, playing his way onto the roster and eventually becoming a key part of the offense.

This year, the Chargers have other candidates who could end up being impact players. Here are some to watch against the Cardinals:

Cardale Jones, If Rivers plays at all — and if he does, it’ll likely be only one series — Geno Smith and Jones still will do the bulk of the quarterback work as the battle for No. 2 continues.

It feels as if Smith, the more experienced of the two, has the edge because the Chargers know what it looks like when he leads a team.

Jones, however, has the physical gifts to win the job if he looks comfortable in game situations.

He’s got a massive arm that can rocket the ball over the field. Problem is, the ball can fly all over the field. If he can get into a rhythm and be accurate, Jones can start to build his resume.

Isaac Rochell, Offseason workouts are a tough time to stand out, especially if you play along the offensive or defensive line. However, a trimmed-down Rochell, a seventh-round pick a season ago, was impossible to miss.

Switching to a plant-based diet, Rochell comes into his second season leaner and faster, capable of playing defensive end and defensive tackle.

With Bosa likely watching because of a foot injury, Rochell will get a lot of reps with the first- and second-string defense — a chance to put all his offseason work and salad eating to work.

Kyzir White, One of the “buzziest” names in the first two weeks of training camp, it’ll be interesting to see how White handles linebacking in a game setting after playing safety in college.

The Chargers’ fourth-round pick has the size and speed necessary to help add depth, and maybe even start, at linebacker. It’s just that no one is sure if the projections will come to fruition.

He has impressed coaches through the first part of training camp, but Saturday we’ll see if it translates into game situations.

Artavis Scott, Some of the flashiest catches in offseason workouts and at the start of camp have been made by Scott, a college teammate of last year’s first-round pick, Mike Williams.

Scott, who spent all of last season on the practice squad, is a strong receiver with a knack for making spectacular catches in tight coverage, though he’s had some issues with drops on easier opportunities.

Michael Davis, An undrafted free agent last season, Davis made the team thanks to a combination of size and speed despite being beaten badly in some preseason games.

Now with Trevor Williams nursing a sore ankle, Davis is getting a chance to play with the top unit on defense and, so far in practice, he’s been much more consistent.

Steelers vs Broncos – How to watch Steelers vs. Broncos in Week 12: Time, TV Schedule and game information, We’ve got all the information you need to know to keep up with the action from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ clash with the Denver Broncos on Sunday,

Watch Steelers vs Broncos Live

Regardless of their 4-6 record, the Denver Broncos represent a significant challenge for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12. While many fans will have fond memories of the Steelers AFC Championship victory at Mile High in 2006, trips to that stadium have generally not gone well for Pittsburgh as of late and Mike Tomlin is 1-4 in his five visits to Denver since 2007.

The Broncos might not have the talents of Peyton Manning under center anymore, but they still possess one of the league’s better defenses thanks to players like Von Miller and his impressive rookie teammate Bradley Chubb. After a surprising road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11, Denver still has hope that postseason football remains a possibility for them in 2018 and Pittsburgh should be prepared for a team fighting for their playoff lives on Sunday.

Given the strength of the Steelers schedule over the last three weeks of the season, they cannot afford to drop games like this if want they a bye during wildcard weekend. However, should their offense score over 28 points against the Broncos, it should be good enough for the win considering Denver has only scored more 27 points once this season.

Raiders vs Ravens

Raiders vs Ravens – The Ravens can win their second straight game and move above .500 in their battle for an AFC playoff spot. With just six games left, the Ravens are among five AFC teams at 5-5 and Baltimore currently holds the sixth and final playoff seed. A victory would keep Baltimore in control of its playoff destiny.

The Ravens hold a 7-3 edge in the all-time series, including a 5-1 record in Baltimore. Last season, the Ravens won in Oakland, 30-17, as cornerback Jimmy Smith scored on a 47-yard fumble return that helped stake Baltimore to a 21-3 lead. Ravens wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who spent 2015-17 with the Raiders, caught a 41-yard touchdown pass against Baltimore last season.

Jackson’s first NFL start was a success, as he rushed for 115 yards and led the Ravens to a 24-21 victory. However, the Ravens want to reduce the 27 rushing attempts Jackson had against the Bengals. They would also like to get their wide receivers more involved. If Jackson gets the nod over Joe Flacco (hip), it will be interesting to see how much the Ravens’ game plan changes in one week and how opponents adapt.

Only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers have fewer takeaways than the Ravens, who have just seven. Baltimore’s last takeaway was a fumble recovery by defensive tackle Michael Pierce in Week 7 against the Saints. The Ravens could make things easier on themselves by forcing the Raiders into a few mistakes.

Rookie running back Gus Edwards and Jackson both topped 100 yards rushing against the Bengals, who have the worst rushing defense statistically in the NFL. Guess who has the second-worst rushing defense? The Raiders. A strong running game could continue to be the Ravens’ recipe for success.

The Raiders could assign a spy to Jackson, hoping to prevent him from making big plays with his legs. It will be important for Jackson to make tacklers miss, and to avoid big hits when he decides to scramble.

Cook leads Oakland in receptions (45) and receiving yards (577). Covering tight ends has given Baltimore problems in the past, and Cook is the target that Raiders quarterback Derek Carr relies on in key situations, particularly in the red zone and on third down.

Brown has been held to 28 receiving yards or fewer in three of the last four games. Baltimore needs to reestablish Brown as a big-play threat, and Oakland has struggled in pass coverage. Jackson may test Oakland’s secondary with some deep targets to Brown.
